Chrissy Metz Reacts to Her Emmy Nomination for ‘This Is Us’: ‘It’s Like I’m a Part of a Cool Kids Club’

Start picking out gowns! Chrissy Metz reacted to her first-ever Emmy assignment in an disdainful talk with Us Weekly, only hours after news pennyless on Thursday, Jul 13. 

The 36-year-old, who plays Kate Pearson on This Is Us, perceived a curtsy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. “I’m overwhelmed. we can’t hoop it all, yet it’s amazing!” she tells Us. “I can’t even report it since it’s something I’ve never felt before, so to be honest, I’m still reckoning it out. It’s wonderful.”

The singer continues, “It’s so rewarding to be famous by your peers, by people you’ve worshiped for so long. It’s like I’m a partial of a cold kids bar or something!”

The large exhibit coincides with her initial day behind on set to film deteriorate dual of a strike NBC drama. Metz can’t wait to honour Sterling K. Brown (Randall Pearson), Milo Ventimiglia (Jack Pearson) and Ron Cephas Jonas (William Hill) on their nominations, as good as a whole expel for a show’s Outstanding Drama Series nod.

The one-time Golden Globe hopeful says that she’s disturbed her mom might fangirl over Shemar Moore, though. “If she saw him, she would substantially breakdown!” she jokes of a Criminal Minds star. “My mom tries to play it cool, yet when she met Milo and Sterling she freaked out. I’m going to have to keep my eyes on her!”

Nevertheless, she’s so vehement to spend Emmys night with her extraordinary costars. “We are always shouting and have such a good time together and Emmy’s night will be so special,” she says. “I review it to a Beatles — that we know that there is something special there, so we provide it as such.”
