Billy Ray Cyrus Teases a ‘Insanity’ of ‘Still a King’ Season 2

Billy Ray Cyrus is still in charge! The nation star is gearing adult for a second deteriorate of his strike CMT comedy, Still a King, and he talked to Us Weekly Video all about what viewers can expect. Watch a video above!

Cyrus plays Vernon Brown, aka “Burnin Vernon,” a down-on-his-luck nation thespian and Elvis imitator who discovers a 15-year-old daughter he didn’t know about.

Cyrus, 55, told Us Weekly that his impression starts deteriorate 2 in prison, though “the doors are opening up” for him.

“Vernon is realizing that a whole disaster of his life and his universe he’s messed all adult and he knows that,” Cyrus explained. “He’s usurpation shortcoming for a disaster so he comes out of jail with a new support of mind that he’s going to repair all that he messed up.”

Cyrus has had several TV stints in a past, including Hannah Montana with his daughter Miley Cyrus, though he says Vernon is by distant a “best ever.”

“It’s a funnest thing I’ve ever got to do,” Cyrus tells Us. “Sometimes it is healing to go with a insanity, to go with a upsurge and it’s fun. It’s fun to be that stupid and that crazy and make it all make clarity into a story line.”

Cyrus recently took his impression to a streets of New York City. On Monday, Jul 10, a hostess dressed as Vernon Brown to join a barbarous Naked Cowboy in Times Square where they achieved several tunes for a crowd.

“It was crazy and we said,‘Cyrus only go with it man, you’re Vernon,’” Cyrus pronounced of behaving with a Naked Cowboy. “It was a impulse of insanity, though it was only great.”

Season 2 of Still a King premieres on Tuesday, Jul 11 during 10 p.m. ET on CMT.
